"Best Places to Work
sm" competition discontinued

Detroit, Michigan (January 10, 2004)The bi-annual “Best Places to Work in Southeast Michigan” competition program has been discontinued.

After serious consideration, we have decided to cancel this event - held since 1999 - due to business reasons. The need for this action was realized late last year when the on-going requirements of the sponsors in their business operations became apparent.

Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause to any past or potential participants.

About “The Best Places to Work” competition
The Best Places to Work awards program recognizes outstanding employers in Southeast Michigan. Using measurable criteria that objectively compare organizational best practices, the competition is based upon an extremely rigorous, data-driven assessment.

Every company wants to be considered one of the best places to work. Business leaders recognize that the success of their organization is greatly enhanced when employees look forward to their role and to the opportunities of success.

The Best Places to Work awards program is not a popularity or “beauty” contest that relies solely on opinions. Instead, we believe that strong operating metrics are the key determinates of an outstanding workplace environment. These metrics assure potential employees that those companies honored with the “Best Places” award provide the best climate for overall employee satisfaction, performance opportunity, and career growth.

"The Best Places to Work in Southeast Michigan" is a service mark (sm) of IRI Consultants to Management, Inc.
